The thought has occurred to me lately that it would be nice sometimes to work in my uncle's hardware store. It has been closed for several years now, but back in the day it was a pretty funny place to work. Not to mention free popcorn and they played National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation on repeat during the holiday season.

Oh, and another bonus of working there would be the opportunity to observe all the bizarre customers they had (there were some normal ones too, but I don't remember any of those). Now that I think of it, a movie about the hardware store would be pretty cool.

Here is the plot of the movie, Doug, Elly and Tova move back East because the hardware store needs you, Someone has to take over the old hardware store. But you like it in Boulder and you love what you do. Its a battle do we stay in Boulder or return to my roots? You decide to go back and with your programing skills decide that you and Elly are going to sell robots in the hardware store, kind of a hi tech hardware store. With a twist, you are planning to take over the world with all the robots you sell. Unknowing to all those who bought them. This is how it will work. The robots will start new building projects in their owners home, you and Elly will have all the building materials for sale because the robots refuse to buy anywhere else, hench the programing skills. Well guess who comes to buy a robot one day? Non other than Bill Gates, you see where this is going? You and Elly are really good but at first everyone thinks you are bad in the movie, because you drain Bill of all his assets and solve all the worlds problems...good going guys!!!
